Diagnose/ treat chronic pain conditions. Perform history & physical examination, order, perform, & interpret diagnostic tests. Counsel patients on preventive care & after-treatment plans. Specific pain treatments, including but not limited to, HydroCision discectomy, fluoroscopically guided neuraxial injections/blocks, spinal cord stimulation / neuromodulation, intrathecal opiates, rhizotomy, discogram, percutaneous disc decompression, headache management. Consult or coordinate with other rehabilitative professionals & will direct the efforts of medical staff. Req. Anesthesiologist in Frederick & Waldorf, MD:
Provide both sedation for busy Interventional Pain Service as well as Anesthesia for Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery at our Surgery centers. Must be comfortable with solo provision as well as CRNA supervision, and willing to provide airway instruction for other MDs and nursing staff. Will be responsible for preoperative and post op evaluation, rapid turnover essential. Proficiency in pain control, appropriate patient selection for day surgery a must. Req. Doctor of Medicine Degree with completed anesthesia residency and 2 yrs exp. Must hold MD license, ACLS, and be Board Certified.
